Shame I was working today else I might have gone windsurfing, felt like spring out there today.

Anyway, my ankle is still stuffed (achilles) after 3 months so the only thing I can do is rest, but then Chris asked if I had any kit to go up the hills so that ended the rest... mountain biking.

We took a relatively easy route up, very muddy through the wooded sections above the cottage in the woods then up to the Wyche. Loads of people out walking from there onwards we had to battle past them. One thing was sure the decent was going to be interesting playing dodge people!

Just before the sumit of the beacon Chris' gear changer poped off... So just one gear from then onwards but we made it to the top and joined the massed walkers.

Chris selected a gear for the decent and over the edge we went for the drop... Nearly lost it a couple of times from bouncing about over the rutted paths and clumps of turf but held it together, also a few near misses when walkers just stopped in the middle of a narrow path (dunno where they thought we were gonna go, over the edge? ;-)

Got totally splattered after the Wyche and back through the woods then elected the road back down from Holy Well to let the mud come off and due to a lack of gears for Chris...

Good work out in the sun... Maybe I'll windsurf on Monday, who knows, fed up of resting this ankle anyway.
